Robotics and AI

How is AI defined? - Artificial Intellegence, its the replication of human proccesses of thinking, but in a computer. What did attackers break into? - Files on about 30,000 computers that were affected.

3 subfeilds of AI: Machine Learning, Deep Learning, and Natural Language Processing

Why is AI booming now? - AI is booming now thanks to overall development and advancemnts in CS. The volume of data, computing power, and algorithims allow for AI to be used at an increased range.

3 applications of robots:

Space Exploration: This is something that cannot yet be done by humans safely so the use of robots allows for data and information to be collected. This information allows for the analysis and findings to be brought.
Underwater Exploration: Similar to space exploration, it's not safe for humans to be going into such deep waters at times. Using robots allows for data to be safely collected and analyzed.
Health Care: May be used in more sensative areas of the body like neck, spine, and heart. They sometimes are more precise than some surgeons

Three major challenges for a wheeled autonomous robot performing a 24h surveillance task in a large facility:
These robots can only really do light weight tasks, and have certain weight capacities
They must be charged, even if they can last a while they need to eventally just charge.
Not in all cases but somtimes surfaces may be uneven and post as a challenge. This may only really be a challenge in certain areas
